James Lowe, Sabina Leonelli and Gail Davies at the Biological Interest Group – Monday 6th June, 2-3pm, Byrne House

You are invited to the next meeting of the Biological Interest Group. It will take place this coming Monday 6th of June. The meeting will be held in the seminar room at Byrne House, from 2-3pm. Participants can bring food and drinks if they wish.

Next week we are very pleased to receive the visit of James Lowe, Sabina Leonelli and Gail Davies, from Exeter, discussing their paper “Experimental protocols and the translational imperative in pharmacology”. The authors kindly sent us a short description of the current state of the paper and how we might help:

“At the moment the paper is in an embryonic form, so one of the questions for BIG participants will be what audience the paper should aim at, and therefore what journal or journals should we be targeting. We are unclear at the moment how the section on ‘good practice’ fits into the paper as a whole, and how it relates to the preceding section on ‘soft collaboration’, so the thoughts of participants on this would be valuable as well as any other comments and questions they may have.”

Please contact Thomas Bonnin (tb391 [at] exeter.ac.uk) if you wish to join the group or for any other information.
