Angelique Richardson at the Biological Interest Group, Wednesday 18th February, 1-2pm, Byrne House

Dear all,

You are invited to the next meeting of the Biological Interest Group (BIG). It will take place this coming Wednesday 18th February. It will be held in the seminar room at Byrne House, from 1-2pm. Participants can bring lunch and drinks if they wish.

We are very pleased to receive the visit of Angelique Richardson. from the department of English. She is also a member of staff of the Centre for Medical History, on whose advisory board she sits, and an Associate Research Fellow of Egenis. We will be discussing the following paper, ‘Victorian Monism: Mind and Body in Thomas Hardy’, which is based on chapter one of the manuscript of her monograph Thomas Hardy and the Politics of Biology: Character, Culture and Environment which she will shortly be delivering to OUP. Angelique is especially keen to receive the cross-disciplinary feedback that BIG offers.
Please contact Thomas Bonnin at tb391 [at] for a copy of the paper or for any other information.
