Monday 10th March – 1-2pm – Seminar Room, Byrne House

You are invited to the next session of the Biological Interest Group on Monday 10th March. As usual, it will be held in the seminar room at Byrne House, from 1-2pm. Participants can bring lunch and drinks if they wish.

The paper which will be discussed is a draft of a work in progress of Arnaud Pocheville, currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Philosophy of Science (U. of Pittsburgh), who has worked on the niche construction for his PhD thesis in theoretical ecology and Sebastien Dutreuil, currently a PhD student in philosophy of biology on the Gaïa hypothesis, visiting at Egenis until April. The current version will not be submitted as is. The authors aim to submit a revised version as an opinion paper in Trends and Ecology and Evolution.

Please contact Jim Lowe at jwel201 [at] for a copy of the paper or for any other information.

As always, please do not disseminate this work in progress without either of the author’s express permission.
